Engineering, in practice.

Robotics, mechanical design and software. Six projects, with my role, the engineering decisions and the current state of each.

VEX Over Under

Captain and lead programmer, team 41103A

I led team 41103A and wrote its autonomous and driver-control C++. My work combined sensor fusion, pneumatic mechanisms and competition testing. The team won back-to-back Australian national titles and competed at Worlds in Dallas.

CentralPass

Live at Caffe Primo Firle, Adelaide

I co-founded CentralPass and developed its ordering and venue operations platform. It connects a branded customer website, Stripe payments, a live staff queue and receipt printing. Built over several months and deployed at Caffe Primo Firle.

ADA²M autonomous drone

Project Umbrella Labs, UNSW

A two-person project developing an agricultural monitoring drone. I work on the mechanical package and autonomy integration. The aircraft is flying, with stability tuning and sensor integration in progress. The case study includes build photographs and a short flight-test video.

  1. BlueSat ground station

Mechanical lead for the antenna pointing mounts on a student built CubeSat ground station. Led it through 2025, handed it on before the hardware was tested.

    Handed on, 2025
  2. Sculpt Showdown

A multiplayer voxel sculpting game in a browser tab. TypeScript on Three.js, with the sculpting tools written for this game rather than borrowed from an editor.

    In development, playtest pending
  3. Day trading platform

A modular Python trading architecture on the Interactive Brokers API, where hard risk limits and historical validation stand between a strategy and any live capital.

    Backtesting, no live capital
